Short version
- No account, no sign-in.
- Your answers, bookmarks, notes, exam results and settings are stored only on your device. We do not run a server for the app and do not receive this data.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Before ads are personalised, you are asked for consent where the law requires it.
- Premium is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment details.
Data stored on your device
Learning progress (answers, bookmarks, notes, exam results), your chosen language, federal state, optional exam date, daily goal and app settings. This data stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app or use "Reset progress" in Settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
If you use the free version, the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). To deliver and measure ads, Google may process your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information. In the EU/EEA and the UK you are shown a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before personalised ads; you can change your choice at any time in the app settings or in your device's privacy settings. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised ads, our legitimate interest in financing a free app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for non-personalised ads. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, how Google uses data in partner apps: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Premium users see no ads, and no ad requests are made.
Purchases
Premium is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They process the payment under their own privacy policies. The app only receives confirmation that a purchase exists, to switch off ads.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
Children
The app is meant for adults preparing for the citizenship test. It is not directed at children under 16.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a data protection authority. As we do not store your data on any server, most data can be managed or deleted directly in the app. For anything else, write to appkadag@gmail.com.
Changes
We update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
